5 FREE Apps That Every Woman Should Have

November 6, 2017

Everyone has their favorite go-to apps on their phones. In today’s world, there are over a BILLION options (I exaggerate…maybe?). But what do I think are the top apps that I use almost every day?

Here’s a list of them:

1. Companion

Almost all of us women know what it’s like to walk to your car at night gripping onto your keys as a makeshift shank. You may even know that feeling of uneasiness when you get that sketchy Uber guy driving you home. Well, students from the University of Michigan helped solve our problem. With Companion, you enter where you’re going and send the location to your “companions” a.ka friends. If you don’t get where you’re supposed to be going, it’ll ask you if you’re OK; if you don’t respond within 15 seconds, your companions are alerted. Now, your loved ones will know where to track your dead body, haha. I joke. Stay safe out there.

2. Mint

Most of us women in the millennial generation know the constant $truggle is REAL. Mint can help us with that. You can organize your finances (Debt, Credit Cards, Bank Accounts, etc.) into this app and it’ll always make sure you stay up-to-date on any payments and that you don’t fall into the money pit.

3. Ovia

So, the intention of Ovia is to help women with fertility, pregnancy and parenting. Depending on your circumstances, some of you may be thinking – HELL NO. Which I get (I was a hell no-er for years). Now, however, I am trying to conceive or as some call it, TTC. This app is great for those wanting better insight into their cycles. You can track things like your period, sex, discharge, water intake, workouts, and ovulation. If you’re NOT trying to conceive, this is a great way to know when you should err on the side of caution.

4. Bumble

All my single ladies, ALL my single ladies, PUT YOUR HANDS UP. Okay, so most of our life is now constantly looking like a struggle for time management. With society changing and lack of time, dating can be tough. Unlike Tinder, Bumble is a dating app created FOR women. With Bumble, women hold the key. After a mutual swipe right, it is up to you to make the first move. (When I was in the dating world, I often started my convos with a funny gif, in true awkward fashion and I trapped, I mean met, the man of my dreams). With Bumble, you can always leave them wanting more.

5. Travel Pirates

Got wanderlust on the brain? I downloaded Travel Pirates’ app awhile back and have not regretted it. This FREE tool will notify you on the best and most affordable getaway deals. Want to bring your Instagram photos to the next level of envy? With affordable trips in the palm of your hand, you can work on growing that passport stamp collection. Travel Pirates covers flights, hotels, and vacation packages for the over-zealous vacation-booker.
